Treatment times vary but most cases take around a month. Throughout life our teeth pick up discolouration from the colouring in food and drinks. Tooth enamel is porous and allows discolouration to pass through and to stain the dentine underneath where no amount of brushing can reach. First, models are made of your teeth. From them, thin flexible custom made trays are produced, into which a gel is placed. At night you wear the tray over your teeth. This usually takes up to two weeks per arch until the desired colour change has been achieved. The trays are very comfortable and quite unobtrusive, and the gel has a neutral or mint flavour.
